Spotlight in Education

Throughout the summer the fine educators of VCS will adorning the homepage of VCS online.  Our teaching staff is among the most influential role models that your children will have in their lives.  When investing in your child's education look to those people that will be charged with reinforcing the values  you hold most dear.

Philosophy of Christian Education:
Patricia (Pat) Rich

As a Christian Theist, I believe that God is the source of all knowledge and truth. I recognize that humans are flawed through the sin nature of natural birth, with the ability to be reconciled to God through a spiritual rebirth. I believe that God created humans with a rational mind and ability to understand His created world and communicate with Him in a personal way. Since God is also the source of values and beauty, I believe that the role of a teacher is to share His truth and value system with students so that they can incorporate the same into their lives and thereby have an influence on the world

around them. I believe the role of the teacher is to present well chosen, appropriate content in ways that will reach a variety of learning styles and multiple intelligences of a diverse classroom population; most importantly, the teacher is a model and example of Godly behavior and speech in working with children.

Discover Christian Schools

"I am afraid that the schools will prove the very gates of hell,
unless they diligently labor in explaining the Holy Scriptures
and engraving them in the heart of the youth. "
