As a Christian Theist, I believe that God is the source of all knowledge and truth. I recognize that humans are flawed through the sin nature of natural birth, with the ability to be reconciled to God through a spiritual rebirth. I believe that God created humans with a rational mind and ability to understand His created world and communicate with Him in a personal way. Since God is also the source of values and beauty, I believe that the role of a teacher is to share His truth and value system with students so that they can incorporate the same into their lives and thereby have an influence on the world |

I believe the role of the teacher is to present well chosen, appropriate content in ways that will reach a variety of learning styles and multiple intelligences of a diverse classroom population; most importantly, the teacher is a model and example of Godly behavior and speech in working with children. |

VCS Graduates & Former Students…Kristin Schmid earned a Jurist Doctorate (JD) from Villanova University. (We will be calling her with our legal questions!)
Daniel Clifton graduated from New York University where he received the Alfred Sloan Foundation Award ($20,000) for outstanding achievement in filmmaking. Daniel has moved to Hollywood where he will continue his career. (We all remember Daniel’s homemade movies with “Meow Meow” when he was a student at VCS!)
Amanda Caler graduated with a BS in Biology from Geneva College and will enter the graduate program at University of Pittsburgh.
Steven and Laurie Yardumian both graduated from Taylor University with degrees in technology and business respectively. Sister Michelle Yardumian is heading to Millersville University upon graduation from Abington HS. Hannah Rissinger will attend Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) in the fall for biblical studies.
Kevan Rich enters the ranks of elementary teachers upon graduation from PBU. YEAH Kevan!
Graduates studying abroad this year include Brooke Adcock, Stephanie Randolph (Spain) and Joy Mench (Rome). It was great to see some of our former students at the recent Silent Auction.
Chris Nolan finishes her freshman year as an engineering student at Drexel and Megan Belinsky is off to Temple University to study education (She has told people for years that she “wants Mrs. Rich’s job one of these days”.)
Brett MacIntyre, Paul Randolph, Sophia Bolakas, Gabby Moore, and Michael Keller have all finished their freshman year at Liberty University. Please let us know of other “VCS kids”. They are staying in touch with each other through Facebook. VCS parent and board member Terry Rowley has set this up and scores of VCSers are talking to each other.
